MYCN

A world where Children & Youth have sustainable Development

We are a youth-led NGO with over a decade of experience, empowering young people in Tanzania. At MYCN, we believe in the power of young people to create positive change.

MYCN is a youth-led NGO which was established by youth in Mwanza in 2009 and officially registered in 2010 with the headquarter in Ilemela District, Mwanza City, Tanzania.

MYCN realized the absence of a clear platform for bringing together youth and children to access information and voice up for their rights and wellbeing, there was a gape of communication as most of services and engagement was adult to youth/ children, then MYCN came up with the idea of peer to peer working where MYCN employs only youth below 35 years old to work with their peer youths.

We also deploy the young reporters and children council to work directly with their peers, and youth reporters work directly with youth and teens to cut down the communication barriers. MYCN believes in the approach of nothing about us without us and beneficiaries are the center of all the interventions, from planning stage to execution and evaluation.

Our Mission

To assist and facilitate youth and children so they have the best means to participate and develop their intellectual, physical, moral, cultural and economic capacity for their benefit and society in general.
