Children’s Voices, Live on Air: From School to Radio

Children have a lot to say about the things that affect their lives. The Young Reporter program gives them a place to say it.

Young Reporters host a radio show on Afya FM 96.9. The show is made by children, for children. They use it to raise their voices and talk about the issues that matter to them, in their own words.

Now the program has taken a new step. The Young Reporters have started going live on air, and they are bringing more children into the conversation, including pupils from schools. These children now have a real chance to share their opinions, ask questions and be heard by the community.

By moving from the classroom to the radio, the Young Reporter program shows that children are not only listeners. They can lead conversations, speak up for themselves and help shape decisions about their own lives.

Tune in to Afya FM 96.9 and listen to the voices of children.
