Every year on June 16th, children across Africa come together to celebrate the Day of the African Child. This day serves as a poignant reminder of the children who lost their lives in the Soweto uprising in South Africa, where they peacefully protested against apartheid.

In 2024, MYCN organized and participated in the Day of the African Child celebration, which took place in Mwanza. This national event saw the involvement of various stakeholders, including children and organizations dedicated to child welfare.
